Sunny Side Ride

The start and finish poit is Bellinzona. Side by side the Ticino river, which you skirt for a few kilometeres before cutting across the fields to Lake Maggiore, which you reach in Tenero, an ideal sport for coffee break.

Once in Locarno, the route climbs to the sunniest part of the area, namely Orselina. From Orselina the return journey starts towards Tenero Contra and then descends and joins the Cantonal road from Gordola to Cugnasco.

Continue on the cycle path to Castione and then return to the starting point, i.e. Bellinzona.
